• Setting: Cardiac Stepdown / Intermediate Care Unit
• Employment Type: Travel RN
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,070 - $2,180
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Holiday rotation, approximately every other holiday
• Floating: Float as needed
• Charting System: EPIC
• Care Setting: Acute care hospital

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Acute care or stepdown nursing experience
• ACLS and BLS required
• NIHSS certification required
• Experience caring for cardiac stepdown or intermediate care patients
• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to manage titratable drips
• Comfort working nights, weekends, and holiday rotations
• Ability to read telemetry strips and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Experience with EPIC charting preferred

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients
• Monitor telemetry and assess patients with complex acute needs
• Administer and titrate drips as ordered based on patient condition and protocols
• Care for patients with diagnoses such as post-MI, GI bleed, DKA, and post-op vascular needs
• Collaborate with the charge nurse, house supervisor, and interdisciplinary care team to support safe patient outcomes
• Document thoroughly in EPIC and maintain accurate clinical records
• Support a patient ratio of approximately 1:3 and help ensure high standards of care
• Float as needed to assist the unit and broader healthcare team
