Registered Professional Nurse

Location: CVPH - Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital, 75 Beekman Street, Plattsburgh, New York

Department: CVPH - CVC

Position Type: Full Time

Standard Hours: 36 Biweekly Scheduled Hours: 72 Shift: Night Primary Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Weekend Needs: Every Other

Salary Range: Min $38.31 Mid $47.51 Max $56.70

Unit Description: The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the management of patient care, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient outcomes. The nurse directs and guides the delivery of nursing care, patient education, and all care related activities, while maintaining standards of professional nursing collaborating with other disciplines as appropriate.

Education/Skills Required:

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
  • BLS or ACLS required with ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Meets requirements of physical/pre-placement screening.
  • Completion of cardiac rhythm course within three-six months.
  • Completion of stepdown education course within six-twelve months.
  • As applicable, the individual has training/competency in attending to the special needs and/or behaviors appropriate to the age of the patients for which care is being provided.

On-call: Not required.

Incentives: Position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000, subject to terms, conditions, and change.

This is a bargaining union position.
