Qualifications
The Cardiac Sonographer must meet one of the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or Associates degree or Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited sonography program. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Or
  • Graduate from a non-programmatically accredited cardiac ultrasound program with a minimum of one year training in cardiac ultrasound including 800 clinical hours.

Licensure or Certification:
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) in Adult Echo required before start of employment.
  • Minimum of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification accepted.
