Job description

A 392-bed acute care hospital and designated Level II Trauma Center in Hudson is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory team. This facility is home to an accredited Heart Institute, Stroke Center, and Chest Pain Center, and has completed more than 100,000 cardiovascular procedures.
This role is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care across the full continuum of cardiac cath lab services, including pre-procedure preparation, intra-procedural support, and post-procedure recovery. The RN works closely with cardiologists and the interdisciplinary procedural team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities include assessing patient condition, planning and implementing care during cardiac catheterization procedures, assisting physicians during interventions, and administering medications in accordance with physician orders. The RN also maintains accurate patient records, documents procedural findings, and supports timely review and posting of diagnostic results.
Qualifications:

  • Active Florida Registered Nurse license required (or compact license with ability to obtain Florida RN license within 60 days of hire)
  • Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire
  • One to three years of Cardiac Cath Lab or related procedural experience required
Schedule:
  • Full-time

  • Rotating weekends
  • On-call requirement: 7-9 shifts per month, including every 3rd or 4th weekend
  • Call coverage hours: 3:30 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.
