Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week assignment requiring EP, cath, and structural heart procedure experience.

Details
  • Work in a cardiac cath lab with 3 procedure rooms running simultaneously, staffed by 3 team members per room
  • Case types include EP procedures (ablations, EP studies, device implants such as pacemakers and ICDs, lead extractions, cardioversions)
  • Cath procedures include left and right heart catheterizations, transvenous pacing, Impella insertion/removal, and peripheral cases
  • Structural heart cases include Watchman implants, valve procedures, PFO closures, and ECMO
  • Average case volume is 5-6 cath procedures per day and 2-5 EP cases per day depending on procedure type
  • 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Call requirements are situational but typically limited to about 7 days per month, including one Friday-Sunday weekend and four weeknights
  • Weeknight call runs from 5:00 PM to 6:30 AM and weekend call runs from 5:00 PM Friday to 6:30 AM Monday
