Job description

Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) will assume responsibility and accountability in providing care for patients received in the Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology. The Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology RN works closely with cardiology, vascular-surgery and interventional radiology physicians. Typical producers include cardiac catheterization, kyphoplasty, leadless pacemaker placement and much more. The RN is responsible for assessing the patient during the procedures and while the patient in under moderate sedation. The RN will utilize the nursing process in the provision of care and will practice within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and adhere to policies, procedures, and standards of Conway Regional Medical Center. The Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology RN will demonstrate a commitment to teamwork through effective collaboration efforts.
SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION:
This position is a designated as "Safety Sensitive Position" under Act 593 of the State of Arkansas. An employee who is under the influence of Marijuana constitutes a threat to patients/customers which Conway Regional is responsible for in providing and supporting the delivery health care related services.
Qualifications
• Registered Nurse with current active Arkansas License
• BSN preferred
• If less than one year experience as a Registered Nurse, must obtain a BSN degree within 4 years of hire.
• Certification Preferred
• Completion of moderate sedation competency per CRMC policy
• Proof of high school or equivalent or higher education
• Successful completion of American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) during orientation
• Successful completion of Cardiac Dysrhythmia interpretation class within 3 months of employment
• Experience in Interventional radiology and/or Cardiac Cath lab preferred
• Knowledge of Joint Commission and Arkansas Department of Health requirements preferred
• Must be able to take call as assigned
Other education and experience may be substituted (if applicable) for the required minimum job qualifications with the approval of the Corporate Director of Human Resources.
