Facility: Bristol Regional Medical Center
Location: Bristol, TN 37620
Start Date: 06/14/2026
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days – 4x10 Hours (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Every other weekend
Position Overview
Bristol Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse to join its cardiovascular services team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, strong leadership skills, and prior charge nurse experience. This role requires participation in a rotating call schedule and occasional floating to affiliated facilities as needed.
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
  • Assist with diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, PCI procedures, peripheral vascular interventions, and device implant procedures.
  • Administer and monitor procedural sedation.
  • Monitor hemodynamic status and recognize/manage cardiac dysrhythmias.
  • Assist physicians during invasive cardiovascular procedures.
  • Perform sheath removal, ACT monitoring, and vascular closure management.
  • Administer emergency medications, antiarrhythmics, vasopressors, and thrombolytics as required.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR.
  • Participate in charge nurse responsibilities and support unit operations when assigned.
Requirements:
  • Active RN TN or Compact License.
  • Minimum 5 years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience.
  • Previous Charge Nurse experience required.
  • Experience in both Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab settings.
  • Epic charting experience.
Certifications:
  • BLS
  • ACLS

  • Holding Area Beds: 8
  • Average Daily Census: 10 Patients
  • Patient Population: Adults
  • On-Call Requirement: Average 10–12 call shifts per month

    • Cath Lab Holding Area
    • Johnson Memorial Hospital (JMH) when needed
