Job description

Card Services Fraud Specialist

Liberty FCU, a full-service credit union, is currently seeking a Card Services Fraud Specialist to join the Card Services team. This position will be held in our Operations Building located at 4601 Theater Drive, Evansville, IN. Candidates must possess excellent member service skills, professionalism, and confidentiality. Previous experience with debit/credit card dispute and charge back services is preferred. Applicants must be willing to work Saturdays and evenings when necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process and monitor debit and credit card fraud.
  • Receive, review, and research fraud/dispute paperwork, including working with merchants and members for resolution.
  • Monitor reports from card processor for new cases.
  • Monitor existing cases and review closing documents provided by card processor.
  • Maintain multiple tracking logs and update as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a working relationship with card processor to ensure cases are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Communicate with Fraud Coordinator and management regarding suggestions for process improvement.
  • Provide outstanding member service for card services inquiries either by phone or in-person.
  • Assist the credit union staff with various card related inquiries.
  • Process lost/stolen card replacements, transfer points, and perform other service maintenance as needed to assist member's with fraud/dispute situations.
  • Work on the department's Saturday schedule on a rotating basis.
  • Assist department with the following daily routines on an as needed basis.
  • Process debit and ATM card applications including both approving and issuance.
  • Perform primary Card Wizard administrative routines.
  • Serve as a backup to the Card Services workgroup phone queue.
  • Assist with tasks within the Card Services department when volume is heavy or for vacation relief.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of all Card Services products and services.
  • Always be security-minded on address changes and replacement plastic requests.
  • Develop a working knowledge of the credit union's data and word processing systems.
  • Develop an understanding of credit union history, philosophy, organization, by-laws, and operational procedures.
  • Any other duties assigned by my supervisor or management.
