OVERVIEW: Boca West Country Club is seeking a friendly, attentive, and professional Cardroom Attendant to join our Activities Department. The Cardroom Attendant is responsible for ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable environment for members and guests engaged in card games and related activities. This role involves managing the cardroom operations, maintaining a high standard of customer service, and ensuring compliance with club policies and safety regulations to provide a secure and entertaining experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Greet members and guests upon arrival with a professional and welcoming demeanor.
  • Oversee daily operations of the cardroom, including opening and closing procedures, ensuring the room is well-maintained, organized, and inviting.
  • Monitor all card games, ensuring they are conducted fairly and according to club rules and regulations.
  • Assist members and guests with game setup, provide instructions if needed, and address any questions or concerns promptly.
  • Enforce club policies regarding conduct, game rules, and responsible gaming practices.
  • Collect and manage chips, tokens, and game supplies, maintaining accurate records of transactions as necessary.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the cardroom, including tables, chairs, and game accessories.
  • Report any suspicious activity or rule violations to management immediately, ensuring a safe environment for all participants.
  • Handle member and guest inquiries professionally and discreetly, providing excellent customer service at all times.
  • Coordinate with the Activities Department for special events, tournaments, or promotional activities in the cardroom.
  • Assist in inventory management for supplies such as chips, cards, and table accessories, notifying management when reordering is needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards, including sanitation and COVID-19 protocols, as required.
