Job Summary


Under the direction of the Program Director,


The Driver is responsible for transporting clients amp; employees to work locations, appointments, etc. The Van Driver is also responsible for drop off and pick up.

Pre-employment/referral requirements

The offer is contingent upon you completing the Pre-employment/referral requirements:

  • Adult Abuse Registry Check
  • FBI Criminal Background Check (BCC)
  • Drug Test
  • Testing for tuberculosis at the time of hire, and that the agency follows CDC recommendations for annual/periodic testing of its personnel who have contact with the agency’s consumers.
  • All new personnel workers, shall be required to have a DOT physical examination before OPERATING A PASSENGER SHUTTLE VAN VEHICLE
  • The physical exam must have been completed within three (3) months before employment/referral, and a copy of the physical examination shall be maintained in the individual’s file.

Job Functions:

  • Follow all traffic laws
  • Drive defensively to ensure safety
  • Keep all windows in the car spotless
  • Keep the interior of the car spotless
  • Make sure there is always enough gas to get to the destination
  • Ensure that automobile maintenance is taken care of
  • Accurately follow the correct route
  • Adheres to Always Best Care’s Policies amp; Procedures
  • Promotes quality services to internal and external customers
  • Maintain vehicle tracking logs on daily basis.
  • Operates van in a safe manner, abiding by all federal, state, local and company regulations.
  • Promptly reports emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles, damage, engineering items and safety hazards to management. Reports any deviations from policies, procedures, brand standards and regulations to management.
  • Program director on safety and route improvements, reports accidents and hazards as necessary.
  • Performs daily inspection of vehicles and records results on a daily checklist to include checking and verifying cleanliness, maintenance and safety features of vehicle.
  • Conducts pre-trip vehicle inspections, performs vehicle walk through and walk arounds before and after each trip.
  • Implement safety procedures with their Program Director
  • Maintain van logs and all other required paperwork related to the use of club vehicles.

Job Requirement

  • 25 years of age or older. High school graduate or GED
  • The ability to occasionally lift 40-60 lbs., carry supplies weighing up to fifteen pounds (15), push and pull when administering care, in addition to twisting and turning
  • Ability to navigate to service areas and GPS devices
  • Ability to operate a vehicle for up to 8 hours
  • Professional, articulate, and able to work independently
  • Must be flexible, work weekends, holidays, and evenings
  • Ability to manage and meet deadlines
  • Willing to travel or within the-state Metropolitan area
  • Must have a working cell phone
  • Punctual attendance at work and the client’s residence
  • Maintain and provide a valid state driver’s license
  • Maintain and provide current Vehicle Registration amp; Auto Insurance
  • Driving record must have fewer than 0-2 points
  • Traveling is required – WE PROVIDE VEHICLE
