Car racing is a competitive motorsport where drivers race automobiles against each other on tracks, roads, or closed circuits. The objective is to complete a set distance or number of laps in the shortest time possible, often requiring both speed and skillful maneuvering. Car racing includes various types, such as Formula 1, NASCAR, rally racing, and endurance racing, each with unique rules and vehicle specifications. Job description

General Manager — Car Wash

Location: Little River, SC Reports To: VP of Car Wash Operations

Status: Full-Time, Exempt Schedule: Weekend availability required

Position Summary

Squeeky’s Car Wash is seeking a driven, hands-on General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our Little River, SC location. The General Manager owns the overall performance of the site — building and leading a high-performing team, delivering an exceptional guest experience, growing membership and revenue, and ensuring the facility and equipment are always operating at their best. This role requires a strong commitment to excellence, a high level of self-motivation, and the ability to work independently while holding the team to a consistently high standard. The right candidate takes pride in a clean, well-run site and in making sure every customer’s vehicle — and every customer’s visit — leaves looking and feeling its best.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Operations & Facility

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the car wash to ensure smooth, efficient, and profitable performance.
  • Oversee facility maintenance, grounds upkeep, and curb appeal — including trash removal, spraying bays, sweeping, changing light bulbs, replacing hoses and fittings, removing debris, and light landscaping.
  • Ensure wash equipment is properly operated, maintained, and serviced; coordinate repairs and vendor visits and escalate major issues promptly.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of chemicals, supplies, and consumables, and manage ordering to control costs.

Team Leadership & Staffing

  • Recruit, hire, train, develop, and retain a strong site team; set clear expectations and hold staff accountable to Squeeky’s standards.
  • Own scheduling and payroll for the location, ensuring appropriate coverage across all operating hours, including weekends.
  • Coach and motivate team members daily; conduct performance conversations and address personnel matters in partnership with HR.

Guest Experience & Sales

  • Consistently deliver and model exceptional customer service that assures guest satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Explain and offer wash services and memberships to guests; drive membership growth and meet or exceed site sales goals.
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly to protect the Squeeky’s brand and reputation.

Financial & Administrative

  • Take ownership of the site’s financial performance, including revenue, labor, and expense management against budget.
  • Handle cash management and daily reconciliation accurately and in accordance with company policy.
  • Track and report site metrics, membership counts, and operational results to leadership.

Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment for both team members and guests.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

Required

  • Management experience in a car wash is required.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to hire, train, schedule, and motivate a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • A high level of self-motivation and a genuine commitment to excellence and customer service.
  • Weekend availability is a must.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and seasons (heat of the summer, cold of the winter).

Preferred

  • Prior experience with membership/subscription sales and meeting revenue targets.
  • Experience managing site P&L, labor, and inventory.
  • Familiarity with car wash equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Ability to be on your feet and stand for extended periods, up to the entire work shift.
  • Physically able to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, and step to perform job duties.
  • Ability to move equipment and tools as needed and lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors and in changing environments and weather conditions.

Compensation & Benefits

Squeeky’s Car Wash offers an inclusive, supportive, and encouraging work environment along with a competitive salary of $50,000–$55,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a performance-based bonus in addition to the base salary range above. We also provide an excellent, comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance options at an affordable rate
  • 401(k)
  • Comprehensive perks discount program across the country
  • Paid holidays and paid time off
  • Career growth opportunities
  • Training and development

Equal Opportunity Employer
