Domain Specific Skills:

  • Experience with HVAC, compressor, degas bottle, Expansion tank and thermal system integration/packaging/development.
  • Ability to define interfaces with IP, Cross-Car Beam, cowl, autonomy hardware, and front-end components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define component and system engineering requirements.
  • Create and develop engineering designs and concepts.
  • Perform packaging, tolerance, and feasibility studies.
  • Develop CAD models, drawings, and engineering releases.
  • Support CAE, prototype builds, testing, Sourcing and validation activities.
  • Resolve design, manufacturing, quality, and launch issues.
  • Collaborate with Internal cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
  • Manage engineering changes and documentation.
  • Proven background in concept-to-production vehicle development and problem-solving

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 5y+ years of automotive/commerical vehicle engineering experience within relevant domain.
  • 2y+ CAD experience (CATIA 3Dx, 3D Expereince or V5).
  • GD&T and tolerance analysis
  • DFMA & Serviceability principles.
  • Problem-solving and root cause analysis.
