Flash Car Wash Facility Journeyman - RI Area

Salary Range $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 Salary Position Type Full Time

Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs routine car wash maintenance which includes general repairs.
  • Prioritizes work schedule to minimize operation downtime based on daily work orders received via email, text, phone.
  • Inspects and fixes malfunctioning equipment which includes determining and rectifying the root cause by utilizing experience, personal knowledge, equipment manuals and other devices.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of equipment changes or modification through various resources such as training seminars, maintenance manuals, and service bulletins, or engineering documents, as well as individual research and other correspondence.
  • Contacts owner and or supervisor when problems require outside contractor assistance, is a re-occurring event, or parts needed that can't be obtained locally and are required to be ordered.
  • Provides troubleshooting help and analysis of equipment by inspecting and diagnosing possible causes. Notifies appropriate personnel regarding estimated time frame for repair. Consults with owner for major repairs.
  • Ensures all repairs are performed effectively and efficiently by accurately defining the issues and analyzing options before implementing the final resolution.
  • Comply with all service policies and procedures.
  • Keep Service Manager informed of all significant problems, progress or difficulties.
  • Performs other duties or tasks as it relates to the job that may be assigned.

Environmental & Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift items of light to heavy weight, up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to intermittently and repeatedly bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, perform repetitive motions using hands to grasp, push, pull, or do fine manipulations, climb ladders, and stand for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to climb ladders to heights over 14 feet.
  • Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 10 degrees to 100 degrees indoors and outdoors.
  • Travel in MA, CT & RI is required 75% of the time. A company van will be provided.

Qualifications
  • Strong mechanical /maintenance background
  • Experience with welding, shock bearing, starters, electrical and plumbing
  • Flexible and able to work 5 1/2 - 6 days a week based on business needs.
