Job Summary:
The Mechanic is a key member at Car Lux, Inc. This position works closely with the leaders to perform a wide range of complex and highly confidential administrative support duties requiring discretion and independent judgement. The position is responsible for a broad range of strategic and tactical high level executive administrative support activities and is expected to work with discretion and judgment in all aspects of the role. The incumbent manages a variety of special projects, some of which may have organizational impact.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on mechanical and electrical vehicle systems
  • Troubleshoot complex automotive issues using diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Provide technical guidance and support to technicians in the shop
  • Assist with prioritizing and managing repair workflow to ensure efficiency
  • Conduct final inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met
  • Test drive vehicles to verify proper operation after repairs
  • Maintain accurate repair documentation and service records
  • Ensure compliance with dealership policies, safety standards, and manufacturer repair procedures
  • Assist in training and mentoring technicians when needed

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5–7 years of automotive repair experience
  • Experience with European luxury vehicles strongly preferred
  • Advanced diagnostic experience required
  • Previous leadership or senior technician experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • ASE certifications are a plus
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to organize a daily workload by priorities
  • Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills
  • Must be able to always maintain confidentiality of information
  • Professional level verbal and written communications skills
  • Computer literate (intermediate)
  • Ability to maintain professionalism when interacting with internal and external customers.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
  • Prior automotive dealership finance or administrative experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of dealership management systems (DMS).
  • Strong understanding of compliance-driven documentation processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Working Conditions: 
  • Work performed in a service shop environment
  • Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and use of tools and equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with vehicle repair
