What is a Car Haul Owner Operator?

A Car Haul Owner Operator is a self-employed truck driver who owns and operates their own vehicle transport truck, specializing in hauling cars between locations. They typically contract with auto transport companies, dealerships, or individual clients to move multiple vehicles at once, often using specialized car hauler trailers. These operators manage their own schedules, maintenance, and business expenses, and are responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of vehicles. This role requires a commercial driver’s license (CDL), industry experience, and knowledge of regulations related to vehicle transport.
