Position Summary 

Lead the professional development of senior cyber leaders within the Cyber Captains Career Course (CyCCC). This role focuses on the integration of Common Core doctrine and the specialized Information Advantage framework. The instructor is responsible for training mid-career officers and warrant officers to plan and execute operations at the Brigade and Division levels. 

Requirements

Mandatory Qualifications 

A. Professional & Military Education 

  • Core Education: Must be a graduate of a Senior Leader Course (SLC), Captain's Career Course (CCC), Warrant Officer Advanced Course (WOAC), or Command and General Staff College (CGSC). 
  • Technical Qualification (One of the following): 
  • Graduate of FA 29A EW, 17B EWQC, 17A BOLC-B, CWOTCC, CyOOC, 170A/B or 290A WOAC. 
  • Completion of advanced planning courses: ACOPC, COPC, JNAC, STO Planners Course, or AFIT Cyber 200/300. 
  • Preferred: Completion of Joint Combined Warfighting School or SAMS in conjunction with the above. 

B. Operational Experience & Leadership 

  • Service Background: Minimum 24 months of experience at the Brigade Combat Team (BCT) or Division level within MOS fields 13, 17, 25, 35, or FA 29/30 (or sister service equivalent). 
  • Rank Requirement: Must have achieved the grade of E-8 (NCO), CW3 (Warrant Officer), or O-3 (Commissioned Officer). 
  • Planning Role: Documented experience serving as a Planner or in a leadership role at the Battalion level or higher. 

C. Information Advantage Expertise 

  • Core Tasks: 2+ years of experience in Information Advantage pillars, including: 
  • Enabling Decision Making & Protecting Friendly Information. 
  • Informing Domestic and International Audiences. 
  • Conducting Information Warfare. 

D. Instructional & Academic Background 

  • Teaching Experience: 2+ years of experience delivering full-length instructional and training material. 
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in any specialty. 
  • Equivalency: In lieu of a degree, 3 additional years of specialized experience in the areas listed above (for a total of 5 years). 

General Requirements 

  • Common Core Compliance: Must meet all Instructor/Writer qualifications previously identified for the 17A BOLC-B Common Core and JLD modules.
