Role Summary:

The project coordinator will coordinate and track thetasks, schedule, issues and risks of a project. It's their job to ensure theproject managementframework is well-organized and that it runs smoothly, tasks are understood and completed as planned. This can include communicating with various departments in the organization to make sure everyone is on the same page or project risks are fully understood.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Physical - Generally sedentary work, proficient in using a PC keyboard and computer. Ability to move through the plant with or without accommodation.
  • Working Hours - full-time (40+ hrs/week) employment
  • Personal Traits - Excellent communication skills with positive teamwork and safety attitude. Ability to interface and communicate effectively with various department personnel and supervisors. Good listening skills. Conscientious attention to detail and accuracy while able to multi-task and trouble shoot.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

This position will work on various projects supporting different departments across Latitude. The Project Coordinator will need to be flexible, may be responsible for coordinating more than one project at a time. This individual will help plan, execute, and close projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines, budgets, and quality standards. They are responsible for working with the Value Stream Manager to ensure the correct plan, resources, and documentation is in place to ensure adequate project launch. They are responsible for regular reporting of project status and effectively working with others to ensure project success.

  • Develop project plans including task prioritization, milestones, and dates of implementation.
  • Monitor project progress and create project status reports.
  • Coordinate projects that involve multiple locations or support various departments
  • Assis with resource scheduling so that team members have the resources they need to complete their tasks.
  • Schedule team meetings and facilitate communication between project manager and stakeholders
  • Manage product management documents such as project plan, project tracker, schedule, or scope statement, as directed by the project manager or Value Stream Manager.
  • Support and identify, as appropriate, project risks and implement actions to mitigate risks and notify leadership of any delays.
  • Support team members when implementing risk management strategies
  • Manage assigned projects in accordance with plan/schedule
  • Learn any new skills required to effectively coordinate a project
  • Communicate with affected area leadership and employees prior to and during project implementation to ensure project understanding and minimize impact to production flow and schedule.
  • Ensure project implementation is sustained and effective. Make adjustments as needed.
  • Be willing to work extra hours as needed.
  • Other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experienced in using an ERP system (Epicor preferred), Word and Excel.
  • Project management planning and organization skills.
  • Ability to assess operational requirements and to plan and organize workflow and schedules in a manufacturing environment.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in business administration, management or a related field. At least 5 years of Project Coordination experience. Project management certifications: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), project management professional (PMP) or similar, preferred. Working knowledge of project management software. Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
