Job description

Job Description Everforth ECS is seeking a Scheduler to work in the National Capital Region covering the Pentagon, Falls Church, and Fairfax. Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award. The War Data Platform (WDP) is a key initiative within the U.S. Department of War's (DoW) AI-First strategy introduced in early 2026. The WDP focuses on operational warfighting data and aims to accelerate the deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) on the battlefield. The WDP extends to Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret environments, and supports collaboration between Combatant Commands, Joint Staff directorates, Senior Executive Service leaders, and operational analysts. • The Scheduler develops and sustains the Integrated Master Schedule for the WDP Core Integration Task Order, providing program leadership with accurate, traceable, and continuously updated visibility into task execution status, milestone performance, critical path dependencies, and schedule risk across the full program lifecycle. In this role, the Scheduler supports Government-facing reporting cycles, Quarterly Program Management Reviews, and transition planning activities by delivering reliable schedule analysis, variance reporting, and dependency mapping that enable informed decision-making and on-time delivery of program objectives.
• Supports program execution by developing, maintaining, and updating the Integrated Master Schedule used to plan, track, and report task execution across program activities.
• Maintains schedule structure documenting tasks, milestones, dependencies, durations, and completion status in alignment with approved management plans and Government reporting requirements.
• Coordinates with project managers, technical leads, and functional teams to collect schedule updates, validate task progress, and resolve schedule conflicts.
• Incorporates updates from transition activities, reporting cycles, reviews, and deliverables into the schedule baseline.
• Performs schedule analysis to identify critical path activities, resource conflicts, and potential schedule risks.
• Supports preparation of Monthly Status Report schedule sections by providing planned versus actual start and completion dates, milestone status, and schedule variance analysis.
• Prepares schedule inputs and visualizations supporting Quarterly Program Management Reviews and executive briefings.
• Maintains version control and change documentation for schedule updates to support traceability and audit readiness.
• Utilizes scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project to maintain schedule accuracy and consistency.
• Escalates schedule risks, slippages, and dependency impacts to project leadership for resolution.
• Delivers reliable schedule management supporting execution visibility, accountability, and on-time delivery of program objectives.
• Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills • Current Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). • 3 or more years of progressive experience in program scheduling, project coordination, or a closely related discipline, with demonstrated experience developing and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules for federal or defense contracts.
• Active Project Management Institute (PMI) Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification, demonstrating proficiency in project management fundamentals, schedule development, milestone tracking, and structured delivery methodology.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Project or equivalent enterprise scheduling tools, including experience building and maintaining resource-loaded, dependency-mapped schedule baselines that align with Government-approved management plans, work breakdown structures, and PWS task requirements.
• Proven ability to perform critical path analysis, schedule variance assessments, and dependency impact evaluations, and to communicate schedule risk findings and recommended corrective actions to project leadership in a clear, actionable format.
• Experience preparing schedule inputs for Monthly Status Reports, including planned versus actual milestone comparisons, schedule variance narratives, and completion date projections aligned to Contracting Officer Representative reporting timelines and PWS reporting requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain version-controlled schedule documentation and change logs within controlled repositories, including enforcement of audit-ready traceability practices that support Government oversight and external auditor engagement.
• Proven ability to coordinate schedule data collection across cross-functional teams spanning program management, systems engineering, software development, cybersecurity, and cloud operations disciplines, including experience resolving schedule conflicts and escalating dependency impacts in a timely and structured manner.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate solution.
• Highly developed interpersonal and oral/written communication skills, with the ability to effectively and professionally interact with a diverse set of stakeholders (from peers to end-users to executive management). Desired Skills • Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility. • Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) program planning constructs, including working knowledge of Program Increment planning cycles, sprint-based delivery cadences, and Agile Release Train dependency mapping as they relate to Integrated Master Schedule development, maintenance, and synchronization with Government-facing reporting and milestone tracking obligations.
• Experience supporting schedule development and analysis within a multi-task, multi-enclave federal program environment, including demonstrated ability to integrate concurrent transition events, procurement milestones, deliverable submission deadlines, and operational review cycles into a unified, resource-loaded schedule baseline.
• Proficiency with collaboration and program management platforms such as Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint Online, including demonstrated experience integrating sprint-level burndown data, backlog completion metrics, and dependency backlog status into Integrated Master Schedule updates and executive-level schedule visualizations.
• Prior experience preparing schedule visualizations, Gantt chart summaries, and dependency maps for Quarterly Program Management Review briefings and Integrated Program Reviews, including demonstrated ability to translate complex schedule data into concise, decision-ready formats suitable for Senior Executive Service-level and Contracting Officer Representative audiences.
• Active pursuit of or progress toward Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, or enrollment in an advanced scheduling or earned value management training program, demonstrating commitment to professional development and growth toward senior-level program scheduling responsibilities.
