The Staff Services Officer III performs complex (journey-level) staff services work. Work involves planning, coordinating, and performing work in several staff services functions such as human resources, accounting, budgeting, purchasing, training, payroll, records management, and property management. May provide guidance to others. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Consults with the Field Services Delivery Director as needed for direction.

YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO:
- Coordinate Broad Staff Services: Plan, coordinate, and perform work across various staff services functions-such as human resources, accounting, purchasing, training, payroll, and records/facilities management.

- Improve Processes & Compliance: Analyze internal processes and assist in developing policies, procedures, and programs to improve operations and ensure compliance with all applicable legislative changes, laws, and regulations.

- Support Human Resources & Training: Assist with recruitment (job postings, screening), advise management on employee lifecycle actions (new hires, promotions, disciplinary actions), coordinate employee leave, and conduct training programs.

- Manage Purchasing & Procurement: Process purchase orders, track procurement requests in compliance with state and agency requirements, monitor expenditures, and maintain inventory.

- Handle Administration, Records, & Facilities: Prepare reports and correspondence, coordinate travel arrangements, maintain approved records retention schedules, and manage facility needs (work orders, security systems).

- Perform other duties as assigned. 

YOU QUALIFY WITH:

- One year and six months of full-time experience in business management, human resource administration, budget preparation or control, or a related staff services function.

- Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position.

- Six months of full-time in-service TWC experience classified as a Staff Services Officer II with regular status will satisfy the minimum qualifications.

Duty requires up to 10% travel within the state of Texas and the ability to lift 10 pounds.
