Job Summary:
Capgemini Invent is a global business and technology transformation partner that blends strategic, creative, and scientific capabilities to deliver cutting-edge solutions. They are seeking a Contextual Systems Engineer Consultant to contribute to the design and delivery of AI-ready data and knowledge foundations that help enterprises understand business context effectively. The role involves collaborating with senior consultants and client teams to implement semantic layers, knowledge graphs, and context platforms.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Building and configuring semantic layer components, including LookML models, dbt metrics, and dimension and measure definitions
โ€ข Contributing to knowledge graph schema design and populating graph databases with domain-relevant data
โ€ข Writing and testing data pipelines that feed context platforms with structured and unstructured data
โ€ข Documenting semantic objects, context contracts, and data dictionaries for client use
โ€ข Supporting discovery workshops focused on mapping enterprise data assets and knowledge flows
โ€ข Assisting in the evaluation and configuration of knowledge and context platform tooling
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข 3โ€“5 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data architecture
โ€ข Handsโ€‘on experience with dbt, SQL, and at least one cloud data platform (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift)
โ€ข Understanding of semantic modeling concepts such as dimensions, measures, metrics, and hierarchies
โ€ข Strong documentation skills and attention to data quality
Preferred:
โ€ข Familiarity with graph database concepts (Neo4j preferred)
โ€ข Exposure to knowledge and context platforms, vector databases, or streaming technologies
โ€ข Interest in how AI systems consume enterprise data and knowledge at scale
