Spray Technician Canopy Lawn Care

END GOAL VENTURES INC

Lexington, KY • On-site

$16 - $20/hr

Full-time

Posted 18 days ago

Job description

Canopy Lawn Care is looking for a full-time Spray Technician to join our growing team. We take a soil-first, science-backed approach to lawn care, meaning we're not just spraying chemicals, we're building healthier soil and stronger root systems that lead to better lawns over time. If you like being outdoors, care about doing things the right way, and want a job with real room to grow, we want to talk to you.
What you'll do:

  • Apply fertilizer, weed control, and other treatments to residential (and eventually commercial) lawns according to Canopy's soil-first program
  • Drive to customer properties throughout the Lexington area and complete a daily route safely and on schedule
  • Communicate with customers on-site: answer basic questions, flag lawn issues you notice, and represent Canopy professionally
  • Keep accurate records of treatments and communicate with the office on any account or property issues
  • Maintain and care for company vehicles and spray equipment
What we're looking for:

  • Someone who genuinely enjoys being outdoors and has an interest in or curiosity about plants, soil, and lawn health
  • Reliable and responsible: shows up on time, follows through, takes ownership of the day's route
  • Comfortable talking with customers and representing the company well
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Able to pass a background check
  • Physically able to work outdoors in Kentucky's full range of weather and handle equipment, hoses, and light lifting throughout the day
Licensing:
A Kentucky pesticide applicator license is a plus but not required to start. You'll need to obtain your Kentucky State Pesticide License within your first 90 days, and Canopy will support you through that process.
Why Canopy:

  • Full-time position with consistent year-round work
  • We're a growing company, and we promote from within. Techs who show initiative have a real path toward advancement into sales or leadership roles.
  • Hands-on training, no prior lawn care experience required
  • Work outside, not behind a desk
