Job description

Canoe Restaurant is searching for a Sous Chef to join our culinary team. This is a working sous chef position and the right candidate will possess the desire to create and inspire the Canoe team.
Responsibilities
  • Assist Executive Chef / Executive Sous Chef with the development and implementation of our culinary standars, must have an lead by example management style
  • Management of all back of house staff in a high volume kitchen, and helping with development of line cooks
  • Assist in monthly inventories, and daily / weekly ordering of food and supplies
  • Maintain high sanitation and cleanliness of the entire restaurant
Prefer
  • At least 3 years of Culinary Management experience in an upscale/fine dining establishment
  • Strong knowledge and attention to detail on back of the house operations including: staff supervision, inventory controls and product quality
  • Strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills
  • Stable and progressive work history; Strong work ethic
  • Graduate of an accredited culinary program is a plus
