Empty heading Job Description

We are seeking a highly creative, detail-oriented, and technically minded Industrial Designer to shape the future of cannabis vaporization. In this role, you will be responsible for the visual and ergonomic design of our next-generation hardware portfolio—including disposable vape pens, cartridges, pod systems, custom batteries, and smart connected devices. You will blend artistic styling with engineering reality, ensuring our products are visually striking, highly functional, comfortable to use, and optimized for mass manufacturing.

Responsibilities/daily tasks:
  • Concept Generation: Create initial design concepts through sketching, digital rendering, and rapid mood boarding based on market research, consumer trends, and brand briefs.
  • 3D Modeling & Rendering: Develop high-fidelity 3D CAD models and photo-realistic renderings to communicate design intent, surface finishes, and form factors to internal teams and clients.
  • Ergonomics & CMF Selection: Define the user experience, ergonomics, and Color, Material, and Finish (CMF) specifications, selecting premium, safe, and heat‑resistant materials appropriate for vaping.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with Mechanical Engineers, Product Managers, and Extract Scientists to ensure outer aesthetics match internal technical constraints (battery size, airflow chambers, ceramic heating elements, and oil reservoir volumes).
  • Prototyping & Testing: Utilize 3D printing, CNC machining, and rapid prototyping tools to build physical mockups; iterate designs based on hands‑on fit, form, and ergonomics testing.
  • DFM (Design for Manufacturing): Prepare comprehensive design documentation packages for overseas OEM/ODM manufacturing partners, ensuring aesthetic details are preserved during mass production tooling.
Qualifications: Experience, Education
  • Experience: 3–5 years of professional industrial design experience, ideally crafting consumer electronics, wearable tech, medical devices, or vapor hardware.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
  • Portfolio: A stunning professional portfolio demonstrating the full design process—from initial napkin sketches and form studies to final rendered products and manufactured goods.
  • Technical Software Mastery: Expert proficiency in 3D surface modeling (SolidWorks, Rhino, or Fusion 360) and rendering software (KeyShot, Blender, or V-Ray).
  • Creative Tools: High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for sketching, presentations, and graphic asset integration.
  • Manufacturing Knowledge: Good understanding of high-volume manufacturing processes, including plastic injection molding, metal die-casting, extrusion and surface treatment methods (anodizing, soft‑touch coatings).
  • Authorized to work in the US without the need for employer sponsorship.
Preferred Experience
  • Strong interest in or familiarity with the  cannabis consumer landscape, vape tech innovations, and lifestyle design trends.
  • Exceptional communication skills to successfully pitch concepts to both creative and highly technical manufacturing audiences.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Opportunities for growth in a rapidly expanding industry
