Cannabis processors are professionals who handle the transformation of raw cannabis plants into various products, such as oils, concentrates, edibles, and topicals. They use specialized equipment and techniques to extract cannabinoids and terpenes while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Cannabis processors play a crucial role in the legal cannabis industry by ensuring that products are properly prepared, tested, and packaged for distribution to dispensaries or consumers.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a cannabis processor?

Familiarity with extraction equipment, compliance tracking software, and safety protocols is often required, and some positions may prefer certifications in food safety or hazardous materials handling. Strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and in a team are standout soft skills for this role.
