Front Desk Receptionist – Sanctuary Woburn

Salary: $16 an hour | Hourly Non-Exempt | Full-Time

At Sanctuary Medicinals, the Front Desk team sets the tone for the entire customer experience. As part of the opening team for our new Saugus location, you will help create a welcoming, organized, and secure environment from the moment customers walk through the door.

We are looking for friendly, dependable, and professional individuals who enjoy working with people, staying organized, and being part of a fast-paced retail environment. This role combines customer service, compliance, security awareness, and operational support to help keep the dispensary running smoothly every day.

You will often be the first-person customers interact with, whether in person or over the phone, so creating a positive experience is a huge part of the role.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Front Desk Operations

· Greet customers and visitors warmly while creating a welcoming first impression

· Verify customer identification and age in compliance with Massachusetts CCC regulations

· Manage customer check-in processes with accurate data entry and attention to detail

· Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area

· Assist with customer flow and communication between departments to create a smooth experience

· Support managers and staff with operational tasks as needed throughout the shift

· Customer Interaction

· Answer phone calls professionally and assist customers with general questions

· Provide accurate information regarding store hours, policies, promotions, and product availability

· Assist new and returning customers with check-in procedures and account questions

· Maintain a strong working knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and methods of consumption

· Handle customer concerns calmly and professionally while escalating issues when appropriate

· Help create a positive and educational retail experience for every customer

Security & Compliance Responsibilities

· Monitor entry points and maintain awareness of all activity in the lobby, parking lot, experience room and reception area

· Ensure all guests and customers are properly checked in before entering the sales floor

· Follow all Sanctuary security procedures and Massachusetts cannabis regulations

· Report suspicious behavior, fake IDs, theft concerns, or security incidents to management immediately

· Maintain confidentiality regarding customer information and store operations

· Assist with crowd management during busy periods, promotions, and events

· Work closely with management and security teams to maintain a safe environment for staff and customers

· Experience with online menu systems or POS systems preferred

· Cannabis product knowledge preferred but training will be provided

· Experience working in fast-paced or security-focused environments is a plus

Physical Requirements

· Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the shift

· Comfortable using computers, phones, and office equipment

· Ability to work in a busy retail environment for extended periods of time
