IT’SUGAR is looking for a fun and dynamic Retail Supervisor to join our team. As a Retail Supervisor, you will be the premier “SUGARTAINER” in charge of delivering a SWEET customer experience while promoting our brand. This position is a steppingstone towards a management role within IT’SUGAR. The Supervisor will be a shift leader in charge of overseeing all store functions and team members.

Act as a Leader on Duty:

  • Oversees the daily operation of the store and ensures that sales objectives are met.
  • Evaluates daily operations on an ongoing basis and makes recommendations/initiates action to enhance productivity, efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability.
  • Fosters a productive work environment through consistent coaching and training of Sales Associates.
  • Demonstrates a positive, enthusiastic and brand proud attitude. 
  • Promotes safety for both our customers and associates by adhering to company guidelines.
  • Partners with store manager to identify ongoing challenges and present solutions.

Deliver Exceptional Customer Service:

  • Follow our customer engagement model SUGARTAINMENT by setting the stage, welcoming, engaging, entertaining and thanking the customer.
  • Assist customers with requests and inquiries.
  • Ensure salesfloor is clean and organized while maintaining store visual standards.
  • Operate POS/ register to properly cash out all customers.

Achieve Sales Goals:

  • Follows through on customer requests for specific items and suggests additional products. 
  • Use selling skills by explaining benefits, features, prices, quality, value, and other product information.

Support Store Operations

  • Maintains store cash handling records, reports, and opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensures visual standards are appropriate and support the brand image.
  • Merchandises displays to visual guidelines.
  • Plan, coordinate, and set up special events and promotions.
  • Maintain communication with associates regarding product recommendations to increase sales/inventory.
  • Understands all Loss Prevention (LP) policies and procedures and communicates LP issues with the Store Manager.
  • Operational Responsibilities include, but are not limited to salesfloor/backroom/restroom maintenance, cleaning, mopping, etc.

Requirements:

What you need to join the fun:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Years of Experience: 2 years of retail experience and at least 1 year of supervisor experience preferred.  
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Able and willing to work 32-40 hours a week.
  • Must be able to use a POS/cash register.
  • Able to stand and walk for long periods of time; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • Able to independently lift/move up to 25 lbs. Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs. with assistance. 
  • Must be able to work alone or with minimum amount of supervision.
