Job description

Position Overview: A Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping a facility operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen. A Maintenance Technician will be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks around a facility.
Compensation is ~$30+/hour, based on experience
2nd Shift is 3:00pm - 11:30pm, Monday - Friday with $1.00/hr differential
3rd Shift is 11:00pm - 7:30am, Sunday PM - Friday AM $1.50/hr differential

Essential Job Functions
  1. Installs, repairs, and maintains any equipment and machinery in both manufacturing and in building infrastructure.
  2. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and fluid power systems.
  3. Troubleshoot and repair electrical controls systems (24V DCโ€“ 480V AC both single and three phase).
  4. Read and understand schematics and blueprints.
  5. Maintain and repair pneumatic systems such as compressors and driers.
  6. Maintain and repair gas fired boilers.
  7. Performing PMs on a scheduled basis.
  8. Document any work completed in CMMS.
  9. Follow LOTO and all related safety procedures.
  10. Communicate effectively and efficiently with management, team members and internal customers, utilizing verbal, written and electronic resources.
  11. Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  1. High School Diploma or GED required.
  2. Degree/Certification or documented electrical/mechanical experience.
  3. 2 + of maintenance experience, manufacturing experience preferred.
  4. Basic computer skills required.
  5. Must be able to communicate, both verbally and written, in English. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
  6. Must be able to demonstrate a level of mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  7. Knowledge of proper and safe use of electrical meters.

Physical and Environmental Requirements
  1. Position requires the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time; walking around office and plant; lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds; utilizing fine dexterity; and reaching, kneeling, crawling and twisting on a daily basis.
  2. Low sensitivity to a highly fragranced environment.
  3. Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
  4. Must be able to visually inspect machines.
