Job description
Core Job Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome guests promptly in a warm and friendly manner
Knowledge of menu items, major wines, liquor brands, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, terminology, and garnishes
Work with Captains to ensure proper guest service
Assist in Beverage Bar service delivery as needed
Polish flatware, set up tables with appropriate silverware, glassware, linen, condiments, accessories, and fold napkins.
Clear, clean, and sanitize booth/chair cushions and tables completely, and reset with clean linens, ashtrays, votive candles, glassware, and any additional tabletop items needed
Remove dirty dishes, debris, and linens from table and bring to the kitchen for proper washing and disposing of trash in designated receptacles
Coordinate table availability and constantly communicates with Captain, Hostess, and Management to ensure tables are turned efficiently
Serve water, coffee, and soft drinks, refilling when needed
Buss tables in two minutes or less after becoming vacant, clearing one table at a time and finishing in no more than five minutes
Ensure that dining room floors are clean and free of debris
Perform other job-related duties as requested
Qualifications:
One (3) year of experience in a restaurant as a Food server assistant or Busser
Must have great people skills, a clean and well-groomed appearance, and to be respectful of everyone.
Must be capable of carrying heavy trays efficiently and securely.
Thorough knowledge of proper service and etiquette of the establishment.
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience working in a similar resort setting
Alcohol Awareness Card
Health Card
Minimum age requirement is 21
Physical Demands:
Work is performed in a hotel/resort setting.
Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
May be exposed to smoke
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Constant contact with executives, department management, employees, and guests.
Prolonged sitting or standing and mobility.
Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions Lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 75 pounds occasionally
