What is a candidate?

Candidates are individuals who apply for a job opening and are considered for a position by an employer. They may go through various stages of the hiring process, such as submitting a resume, attending interviews, and completing assessments. Employers evaluate candidates based on their skills, experience, and suitability for the role. The goal is to select the best candidate for the job.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a candidate, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Candidate, you need relevant education or experience for the targeted role, a well-crafted resume, and a clear understanding of the job requirements. Familiarity with common application platforms, assessment tools, and virtual interview systems is often necessary. Strong communication, adaptability, and professionalism help candidates stand out during the recruitment process. These skills and qualities are essential to effectively present yourself and secure job opportunities in a competitive market.

What are some common challenges candidates face during the job application process, and how can they overcome them?

Candidates often encounter challenges such as standing out in a competitive applicant pool, tailoring their resumes and cover letters for specific roles, and effectively preparing for interviews. To overcome these hurdles, it's important to thoroughly research the company and role, highlight relevant achievements and skills in application materials, and practice common interview questions. Networking and seeking feedback from industry professionals can also significantly improve your chances of success.

This role has direct strategic relevance to the growth of our clients and Workwolf alike.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Natural charisma, social intelligence, and persuasiveness — you know how to read people and move them to action

  • Competitive drive with a clear track record of hitting and exceeding targets from day one

  • Friendly, resilient, and consistent — you stay engaged even when candidates are unresponsive or hesitant

  • Bold problem-solver who handles objections and keeps momentum moving forward

  • Strong ownership mindset — you don't just complete calls, you drive outcomes

  • Highly goal-oriented with the ability to manage volume while maintaining quality conversations

  • Genuine interest in impact-driven work and the ability to translate that into compelling candidate conversations

Technical Skills

  • 2+ years of outbound sales experience as an individual contributor

  • Cold calling experience is an asset

  • Comfortable juggling multiple online platforms and using a softphone dialer (Dialpad experience an asset)

  • Quick to learn and adopt new tools, workflows, and technologies

What We Can Do For You

  • $21/hour base wage with performance-based bonuses tied directly to outcomes following probation

  • Clear line of sight between your performance and your earnings

  • Ongoing coaching in sales, communication, and candidate conversion

  • Opportunity for internal growth and advancement based on performance
