Job description

  • Under general supervision, is responsible for assisting in the abstraction and analysis of system-wide quality data.
  • Collaborates, communicates, and educates all levels of hospital staff and physicians regarding new and updates to existing quality data metrics.  
  • Monitors and evaluates the need and/or compliance of quality/performance improvement initiatives across the hospital system to ensure the quality of patient care.
  • Provides assistance to other staff with tasks related to overall operation of the Quality Management Department and the Medical Center.

  • Associate’s Degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited school of Nursing
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State of Alabama
  • Possess strong interview, critical thinking, negotiation, collaboration and written and verbal communication skills 
  • Experience in advanced use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Power Point            
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work independently and exhibit effective time management skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of hospital staff and physicians
  • Ability to work as a patient advocate to ensure a patient centered focus
  • Ability to use standard office equipment and supplies
  • Capable of job training and teaching Medical Center and Department policies and procedures
