Job description

About Solar Provider Group
Solar Provider Group (SPG) is a global solar developer with offices in the United States, Canada, Germany, and the Netherlands and active projects across North America and Europe. This role is part of the Company's North American team, which is focused primarily on the development of solar and BESS projects in the United States and Canada, with most current activity in the United States. We identify, secure, and advance high-quality sites through the full development cycle, from early-stage land acquisition to construction readiness. Our team combines technical expertise, financial insight, and strong local relationships to deliver projects that accelerate the clean-energy transition and create lasting value for landowners and communities.
The Role
We are seeking a motivated, relationship-driven, and results-oriented Land Partnerships Specialist to generate and advance land opportunities across the Company's target markets. This role is responsible for landowner outreach, opportunity qualification, site pursuit, and lease advancement, with the goal of helping move prospects from first contact to executed site control.
This is an outreach-focused role for someone who is comfortable prospecting, building trust quickly, managing a pipeline, and conducting ordinary-course negotiations based on the Company's internal criteria, with a heavy focus on email marketing and cold-calling. It is well suited to someone who is motivated, persuasive, organized, eager to learn, and comfortable working independently in a phone- and email-driven role, with in-person follow-up where needed. Strong candidates may come from land acquisition, inside or outside sales, business development, right-of-way, real estate, agriculture, or other relationship-driven roles.
This position is fully remote for candidates based in the United States. You'll work from home while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. Remote work arrangements are subject to change with appropriate notice based on company needs. Frequent travel across U.S. states to visit project sites and engage with local communities should be expected.
Duties & Responsibilities
Landowner Outreach and Deal Advancement
  • Conduct proactive outreach to landowners primarily through cold calls and email marketing, with some in-person visits, referrals, local events, and other relationship-driven channels within the Company's target markets.
  • Build trust with landowners to advance prospects from initial contact through active pursuit and toward executed site control.
  • Conduct ordinary-course negotiations with landowners on leases, easements, options, and related site-control arrangements within the Company's templates and criteria.
  • Escalate complex commercial, legal, title, or reputational issues to the Director of Real Estate and/or General Counsel, as needed.
  • Present the Company's value proposition clearly and professionally, including the general solar and BESS development process, expected timelines, and the benefits of working with the Company.

Opportunity Qualification and Field Coordination
  • Gather and communicate key site and landowner information needed to assess opportunity quality and move prospects forward.
  • Assess property quality in the field or remotely in coordination with internal teams, including development and interconnection.
  • Work independently to source and pursue opportunities while operating within the Company's values, thresholds, and requirements.
  • Work from prospect lists and contribute additional opportunities through self-generated outreach and local relationship-building.
  • Share insights, landowner feedback, and observations that may improve outreach strategy, messaging, and conversion.

Pipeline Discipline and Execution
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in the Company's CRM, including outreach activity, notes, next steps, and opportunity status.
  • Use company systems and tools with reasonable discipline and consistency to support visibility, coordination, and follow-through.
  • Work closely with the Land Acquisition Strategy Manager and Land Acquisition Coordinator to ensure opportunities are tracked, organized, and advanced efficiently.

Travel
  • Travel extensively within assigned regions, with travel expected to represent up to 25% of the month.
  • Maintain flexibility for occasional evening or weekend meetings when needed to accommodate landowner schedules.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in outside sales, business development, land acquisition, right-of-way, real estate, agriculture, or another relationship-driven field role.
  • Proven ability to build trust quickly, generate opportunities, and move conversations toward action.
  • Strong communication and people skills, with the judgment and presence to engage credibly with landowners and local stakeholders.
  • Comfort conducting negotiations and advancing deals within defined commercial and legal guardrails.
  • Highly self-motivated and capable of working autonomously, while engaging the internal stakeholders effectively as needed.
  • Strong follow-up habits and comfort managing multiple active opportunities at once.
  • Comfortable and effective using CRM systems, mobile tools, and other technology to stay organized in the field. Experience with Monday.com or similar platforms is an asset.
  • Experience in solar, BESS, land acquisition, or rural landowner engagement is helpful but not required.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within assigned markets.
