About Indicon LLC

Indicon LLC is a leading provider of industrial automation, robotics, machine vision, and manufacturing solutions for customers across multiple industries. While traditionally supporting automotive manufacturing, Indicon continues to expand into new markets and technologies, creating exciting opportunities for engineers who enjoy solving complex technical challenges and working directly with customers.

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Robotics Engineer/Robotics Technician who is eager to learn, enjoys technology, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone who likes building, troubleshooting, and understanding how things work, whether that's robots, computers, machinery, or other technical systems.

Position Summary

As a Robotics Engineer, you will support a variety of robotics and automation projects ranging from small system modifications to large-scale installations valued from $5,000 to over $1 million. Project durations can range from a single day to over a year, providing exposure to diverse technologies, industries, and customer environments.

This role requires a technically capable individual who can work independently after initial training, communicate effectively with customers, and adapt to different project needs. Successful candidates are naturally curious, proactive, and willing to travel to support customer projects throughout North America.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program, troubleshoot, and support industrial robotic systems and automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Assist with machine vision integration, robotic applications, and automation solutions.
  • Support installation, commissioning, testing, and startup activities at customer facilities.
  • Work directly with customers to diagnose issues, provide technical support, and deliver solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering and project teams across robotics, programming, paint, and flexible manufacturing environments.
  • Travel to customer sites throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico as project needs require.
  • Continuously learn new technologies, systems, and industry applications.
  • Participate in project planning, documentation, system validation, and problem resolution activities.
  • Represent Indicon professionally while building strong customer relationships.

Required Qualifications

Top Must-Haves

  • 1-2+ years of experience in robotics, automation, controls, or a related engineering field.
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time throughout North America.
  • Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and asking thoughtful questions to solve problems independently.
