Job description

Precision Aviation Group (PAG) is a leading provider of products and value-added services to the aerospace and defense industries worldwide. With over 1.1 million square-feet sales and services facilities in the United States, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Brazil – PAG’s 27 locations and customer-focused business model serve aviation customers through Supply Chain and Inventory Supported Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (ISMRO) services.

JOB PURPOSE      

The CNC Operator will use knowledge, skills, experience, and good judgement to operate HAAS CNC mills and Bridgeport manual milling machine to produce a reliable, airworthy product while providing the highest quality of workmanship. 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Job Functions:

  • Operate machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments
  • Read and interpret technical blueprints, drawings, and CAD designs
  • Set up and adjust machine settings to ensure precision and accuracy
  • Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments
  • Inspect finished parts for quality and adherence to specifications
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery

Ideal candidates will offer:

  • Technical degree or CNC machining certification preferred
  • Experienced as a CNC Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of CNC machinery and tooling
  • Ability to perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools
  • Detailed with a strong focus on quality and accuracy
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Compensation: $27-$30

Location: Van Nuys, CA

We offer competitive pay and wide variety of benefits.  Full time associates qualify for health benefits the first of the month following 30 days employment.  Options include medical plans, dental plans, vision, base life (company paid), voluntary life, short and long-term disability, flex spending accounts, and telemedicine.  Other benefits include: vacation and PTO time accrued with each pay cycle with a vacation carryover/payout option at year end, 9 paid holidays, 401k with company match contributions.
