Job Description
Please Note: This is a part-time position, working 21.75 hours per week (0.6 FTE). This posting will be used to fill 2 positions.
This role provides instructional support to instructors delivering academic courses in classroom, laboratory, or workintegrated learning settings. The position involves direct interaction with students-individually or in groups-to supplement and reinforce theory delivered by program instructors. Duties may include supporting inlab activities, grading, providing remedial or tutorial assistance, and completing related administrative tasks.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, suitable for laboratory, advisory, and collaborative settings
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and related educational technologies
Solid working knowledge of clinical setting safety standards, equipment operations and maintenance in the MRT field
Strong oral and written communication
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong time management and organizational skills
Initiative and ability to work independently
Knowledge of computers and use of theMicrosoft suite of programs
Ability to lift 15-30lbs unassisted
Ability to stand and walk for 7.25 hours
Ability to physically perform standard MRT work
Ability to work flexible hours and assignments
Qualifications
Diploma in Medical Radiologic Technology from a recognized post-secondary institute
CAMRT certification in MRT, ACMDTT registration in MRT required
CT experience is an asset
IV Certification isconsidered an asset
2-5 years of recent, relevant clinical experience as an MRT Technologist
Valid Class 5 driver's license for travel to site visits when required is an asset
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
Additional Requirements:
Immunization status and police information checks, as required by the program, may be requested
Annual certification in BLS for HCP may be required
Some evening and/or weekend hours for lab instruction and other educational events may be required in certain semesters
Classification - Instructional Assistant II
This position is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement.
Remuneration
Refer to salary range noted on this posting, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
Note: Remuneration for part-time positions will be pro-rated based on FTE (full-time equivalent).
The compensation range for this job posting is : $63,233.30 - $84,338.80
