Job description

The Renaissance, an Eliza Jennings, and a nationally recognized leader in person-centered care, is searching for a PRN (as needed) Campus Receptionist/ Security Desk Attendant (Unarmed Campus Reception) for its retirement campus, located in Olmsted Township.

Schedule: Flexible shift availability is required
Shifts include:
7:00a.m. -3:00p.m.
3:30p.m. - 12:00a.m.
11:00p.m. - 7:00a.m.

Flexible Days are Required.

Description: Monitor and respond to Renaissance incoming contacts and command post systems’ alerts to assure the safety and security of residents, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Accept, monitor and resolve resident and staff contacts and concerns assuring safe and secure resolution.
  • Monitor bed, bath, and restroom call system for Health Center and Assisted Living; radio nurse in charge.
  • Respond immediately to resident medical emergencies, fire alarms, and DNR's.
  • Assist with fire and tornado drills; test alarms.
  • Accept and maintain call-off log for entire campus.
  • Make wake-up calls for residents.
  • Contact and request snow plowing based on regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor system alerts and take immediate and required action; call 911 and expedite as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth interpersonal skills: demonstrated trust, integrity, compassion and ability to effectively deal with all types of people.
  • Ability to work with disabled, elderly and emotionally distraught people and their families.
  • Ability to multitask.
