Job description

The primary purpose of this seasonal position is to assist the Parks Department in meeting business demands, providing visitor assistance and assist office administrative staff. Organize and perform general clerical functions for on-line reservations system for campsites, shelters, and groups. Collect daily cash receipts from fee collections, bait house and camping fees. Count, balance and prepare receipts for daily cash receipts; makes daily deposits; records and reports receipts and deposits per Parks and County guidelines. Collect cash and distribute passes to fee collector locations as needed. Coordinate scheduling and work activities of camp hosts/attendants; assists in training in Park rules and procedures. Assist the public on the phone and in person with Parks-related inquiries regarding general information, directions, selling seasonal passes and collecting camping fees. Prepare reports and correspondence, perform other general office duties, and assist with special events. Handle and accurately count money and make change. Operate basic office equipment including computers, copiers, scanners, printers, calculators, and two-way radios. Follow all County and departmental safety rules, regulations, and procedures. Must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings and at least 18 years old.
