Job description

Griffon Security Technologies, LLC is seeking an experienced Security Technician to support the installation, configuration, and service of integrated security systems. This is a customer-facing role that requires strong technical ability, clear communication, professionalism, and efficient field execution.

Responsibilities

  • Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling and related connections.
  • Install and support electronic door hardware, access control devices, power supplies, and related field equipment.
  • Install and configure security system components, including PCBs, controllers, readers, cameras, and associated devices.
  • Configure and support security software platforms, including access control, video surveillance, and programmable logic controller systems.
  • Perform system testing, commissioning, service, and documentation in accordance with project requirements.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, vendors, and internal team members.
  • Work efficiently in active customer environments while maintaining a clean, safe, and professional work area.
  • Travel to customer sites as required, including overnight stays.

Qualifications

  • Experience with low-voltage cabling, terminations, and field device installation.
  • Experience installing electronic door hardware and low-voltage power supplies.
  • Ability to install, replace, and troubleshoot PCBs and related security system components.
  • Working knowledge of access control systems, video surveillance systems, and related security software.
  • Experience with programmable logic controllers is preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with customers and team members.
