OMD Operator 
Automation Personnel Services is seeking an OMD Operator for a company based in Sugar Land, Texas. The OMD Operator is responsible for performing all tasks involved in the production of the company’s products, following standard operating procedures, work rules, and regulations. This role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards to meet the company’s production goals.
 
Pay Rate
$14.00 - $16.00 an hour
 
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:30 pm 
 
OMD Operator Duties and Responsibilities
• Organize and process work orders sequentially.
• Review and adhere to work instructions carefully.
• Operate manufacturing equipment, either manually or with automatic devices.
• Monitor equipment and processes for any irregularities and report them to supervisors.
• Set aside defective parts and devices for failure analysis.
• Perform inventory management for returned materials.
• Practice sound judgment to ensure safer work habits.
• Gain cross-training on various production operations as directed.
• Execute assigned tasks at specific stations according to established guidelines and refer to operational appendices.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
 
OMD Operator Qualifications and Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1 year of experience as an Assembly Process Operator in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with using microscopes and hand tools, such as tweezers.
• Basic computer data entry skills.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Strong manual dexterity; able to stand or sit for long periods in a repetitive production environment.
• Active and adaptable personality. 
•  Strong team player.
• Dedicated to quality and safety standards.
• Comfortable wearing cleanroom garments.
• Must comply with lab rules (e.g., no make-up, perfume, closed-toe shoes, proper hygiene, etc.).
• Ability to work independently with sustained focus.
