Description
We are looking for a software engineer to join the Apple Camera and Photos team to help develop the next generation GPU-based imaging processing technologies on mobile and desktop platforms, with emphasis on performance optimization and machine-learning integration. You will play a meaningful role in adding new capabilities and optimizing performance for industry-leading image processing frameworks.
Minimum Qualifications
Proficiency in GPU programming.
Proficiency in C/C++ Programming.
Experience or coursework in performance programming and systems programming; concurrency and memory-constrained programming knowledge is a plus.
Experience or coursework in image processing programming.
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with UNIX/Linux highly desired; experience with OS X/Darwin a major plus.
Familiarity with raw image processing, demosaicking, and common image manipulation is a plus.
Familiarity with color spaces, pixel representations, and dynamic range is desired.
