Pay Details:
The starting hourly rate for this position is $24.00 per hour.
Pay Range: $24.00- $49.00
This position will function primarily as part of the live event presentation crew at Honda Center in the broadcast/control room and in-arena environments focusing on hockey, basketball, and other live events. The Event Tech will work at least one or more of the following positions:

Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on support for live sporting events, including, but not limited to, Daktronics ribbons and scoreboard, audio booth, broadcast control room, Triple Play's IPTV system, and stage manager duties
  • Assist the Entertainment Department with the planning and execution of live promotions, events, and activities
  • Participate in rehearsals, including sound check, communication device check, camera set-up, playlist/scripts review, and all pre-game checks as needed
  • Coordinate with contestants, Ducks Power Players, Ice Crew, staff, hosts, mascots, promotional teams, and additional talent for proper execution of all live elements, including opening introductions, in-game promotions, intermission activities, ceremonies, color guard, and additional performers

Skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following: Ikegami HDK-95C cameras, Ross Acuity 3, Ross Xpression, Ross Inception, Evertz DreamCatcher, Daktronics Show Control & Venus 7000, Yamaha CL5 Audio Board, and Triple Play
  • Able to multitask while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Willing and able to learn additional positions and cross-train when possible
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in a live broadcast or live sports environment, TV/Film production, live event management, or relevant experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be able to work in a team-oriented and creative environment
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays as required
