Fox TV StationsFOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network's national content.JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX 10, Arizona's preeminent source for news, is seeking an Operations Technician to join our dynamic team! Someone who is excited to learn and grow as an operator, willing to help train fellow crew members and is skillful in a deadline-oriented environment. Position will be regularly required to perform both production and master control duties.

Duties:

  • Utilize Sony ELC production automation system to direct live and recorded newscasts and programs.

  • Prepare show rundowns by coding all necessary automation cues in iNews.

  • Collaborate with Producers to ensure show rundowns have talent placed and cameras blocked appropriately.

  • Operate camera robotics, audio console, switcher and floor direct as needed.

  • Oversee master control operations during newscasts, sporting events and other live programming.

  • Monitor output signals for two to four channels to ensure quality control of audio, video and closed captioning.

  • Execute breaking news cut-ins, roll breaks for live events and manipulate playlist for the different "join in progress" scenarios.

  • Make sure feeds for syndicated programs and live events are routed correctly. Oversee the recording of locally produced programs, syndicated and paid programs, promotional material and commercial content and prepare shows for air by segmenting to standardized formats.

  • Transfer media into automation system and prep for playback

  • Check the broadcast logs for accuracy. Verify playlists and events are correct and make changes when required.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of studio and remote broadcasting technology, including Sony ELC automation, XVS-9000 switcher, Wheatstone audio console, Bitcentral Playout, ISQ Playout of Chyron Mosaic, Power Clips, and Vinten Fusion camera control.

  • Experience usingEvertz Mediator and running master control operations during live newscasts, sporting events and other live programming.

  • Overseeing the recording of locally produced programs, and the downloading and prepping of syndicated programs.

  • A minimum of two years' experience directing and/or technical directing on-air for live news programming preferred.

  • Master Control experience is preferred.

  • Weekends, holidays and overtime are required as needed.
