Job description

ECORP Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Planner to lead complex environmental planning projects that help shape communities and infrastructure throughout California. If you are passionate about navigating environmental regulations, building strong client relationships, and mentoring the next generation of environmental professionals, this is an opportunity to make a lasting impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and prepare CEQA and NEPA documents to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Oversee environmental analyses and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive project solutions.
- Support clients by providing expert guidance and developing practical environmental solutions tailored to their needs.
- Develop proposals and business opportunities to expand the company's client base and project portfolio.
- Mentor staff on environmental planning and compliance requirements to enhance team capabilities and project outcomes.

Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Planning, Urban Planning, Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, or a closely related field.
Preferred Education:
- Master's degree in Environmental Planning, Urban Planning, Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, or a related field.
Required Experience:
- 8+ years preparing CEQA and/or NEPA documents.
- 3+ years managing projects CEQA and/or NEPA documents.
- Proposal preparation and business development experience
- Multidisciplinary project coordination and leadership experience.
Preferred Experience:
- NEPA compliance experience
- CEQA-Plus compliance experience.
- Caltrans and transportation project experience.
- Resource agency permitting and regulatory coordination experience.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of CEQA and California environmental regulations.
- Proficiency in project management and proposal preparation.
- Expertise in technical writing.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
- Experience with NEPA and CEQA-Plus.
- Familiarity with Caltrans requirements.
- Permitting experience through USACE, CDFW, and RWQCB.
- Experience in staff mentoring.
- AICP certification.
