Is California revoking 17000 CDLs?

There is no widespread information indicating that California is revoking 17,000 commercial driver's licenses (CDLs). CDL revocations typically occur due to violations such as DUI, serious traffic violations, or failure to meet licensing requirements, and such actions are handled on a case-by-case basis by the Department of Motor Vehicles. If you are concerned about your CDL status, it is best to contact the California DMV directly for specific information.

Can you get a CDL with schizophrenia?

California CDL requirements include passing medical and vision exams, and applicants must disclose any medical conditions. Having schizophrenia does not automatically disqualify a person, but they must be evaluated by a medical examiner to determine if they can safely operate a commercial vehicle. The Department of Motor Vehicles may require additional documentation or restrictions based on the individual's health status.
