Job description

About the Role

WWCPI is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Calibration Technician to join our Quality team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring our special processes and calibration activities comply with ISO 17025, AS9100/ISO 9001, and NADCAP aerospace standards. You will perform in-house calibrations, manage external vendor calibration programs, assist with quality inspections, and participate in internal and external audits to support our quality system objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform in-house calibrations of gauges and measurement tools.

  • Coordinate external calibration services, review vendor certifications, manage quotes, and optimize service costs across facilities.

  • Execute Gage R&Rs / Measurement Systems Analysis (MSAs) and capability studies to support FAIR, PPAP, and APQP requirements.

  • Participate in internal and external quality audits for customer, AS9100, and NADCAP programs.

  • Assist with Keyence program validations, quality inspections, and general quality system processes.

  • Collect and report data to drive continuous improvement and maintain audit readiness.

  • Train and assist team members on calibration and quality procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or technical degree preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in precision or aerospace manufacturing.

  • Audit Experience: Direct experience with AS9100 and NADCAP audit requirements.

  • Software Skills: Hands-on experience with calibration management software (e.g., GagePack) and ERP systems.

  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of ISO 17025 and ISO 9001 standards; proficiency with Keyence equipment or similar precision measurement tools is a plus.

  • Math & Analytical Skills: Proficiency in statistical inference, fractions, ratios, and practical geometry/trigonometry applications.

  • Computer Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) for data entry, reporting, and email communication.

Physical & Visual Demands

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, talk, hear, and use hands to handle or feel precision instruments.

  • Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 10 lbs.

  • Must pass visual requirement checks including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
