Job description

National Calibration Inc. was established in 1955 and is a growing full-service ISO 17025 Accredited Calibration Laboratory with multiple offices located throughout the Southwestern United States.
Our accredited laboratory provides calibration and repair of test and measurement equipment to include: Electronics, Force, Linear, Torque, Pressure, and Weight.

We are a family-owned business based in Scottsdale, AZ.  We are seeking a fast learner with mechanical, electrical or analytical experience for a flexible, variable hour role (0-24 hours per week). You will test, calibrate, and repair precision measurement equipment. The position offers a dynamic schedule based on project demands and client needs.

 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Calibrate electrical, mechanical, and dimensional instruments
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning measurement equipment 
  • Document data and issue official calibration certificates
  • Ensure strict compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards
  • Weekly shifts requested 2 weeks in advance

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/ SKILLS:

  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years on successful team
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of practical sciences
  • Standard: Familiarity with quality systems

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms
  • Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Frequently lift or move heavy instruments, up to 50 pounds, short distances
