Job description

Quality Inspector
Company:  Alloy Products Corp. (APC)
Location:  Waukesha, WI
Hours:  6-2:30pm or 7-3:30pm
Pay range:  $24 to $25 per hour
Benefits:  Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k plan with match, profit sharing, tuition reimbursement and more
Alloy Products Corp. has been building trusted, code-compliant products for nearly 100 years — and we're still proudly family-owned. If you're looking for a stable company that treats employees like part of the family, invests in your growth, and knows how to have a little fun along the way (think bags tournaments and team luncheons), we'd love to talk.
We're hiring a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to help uphold the high standards our customers count on. You'll work alongside a team of inspectors, collaborating closely while also owning your own inspections to make sure every part and finished product meets spec.
What You'll Do
Incoming & In-Process Inspection
  • Inspect parts arriving through receiving to verify correct product, material type, and quality before they move into production
  • Perform dimensional checks, surface finish checks, and verify proper component use against specifications, engineering drawings, and routings
  • Record heat and lot numbers, inspection results, and completed operations in computer systems and manual records
Final & Weld Inspection
  • Inspect finished tanks to ensure compliance with code requirements, including weld inspections and final quality checks
  • Operate measuring tools and equipment to verify products meet ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ASME standards
  • Perform calibration testing on measuring equipment and maintain calibration records
Team & Facility Support
  • Collaborate with a team of inspectors on workload and standards while completing independent inspections
  • Partner with other departments to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing methods
  • Assist with loading/unloading materials; operate forklifts, cranes, and other industrial equipment, including at elevated heights
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation, following all safety policies and procedures
What You'll Need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1–2 years of manufacturing experience with sheet metal, preferably in a quality-related role (we're willing to train the right candidate)
  • Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools/equipment
  • Familiarity with weld codes and compliance standards
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and sound decision-making
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work independently when needed
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
This role requires being on your feet and walking throughout the facility for extended periods, including access to elevated work areas.
Why You'll Love Working Here
  • Nearly 100 years strong — a stable, family-owned company built to last
  • Benefits start day one — no waiting period
  • Profit sharing — you share in our success
  • Flexible scheduling — we work with you on scheduling needs
  • A team that celebrates together — company bags tournaments, luncheons, and other events throughout the year
