Job description

Cain Petroleum is looking to hire a Convenience Store Assistant Manager.
This position is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of a retail convenience store by performing the following duties.
  • Must be at least 18.
  • Must have experience of at least 2 years as an assistant manager or supervisor.
  • Retail customer service is preferred.
  • Must be available on Sat & Sun to work approx. 545am -215p
  • Weekends Required.

Essential Duties:
  • Performs all opening duties including collect all reports necessary and complete daily paperwork.
  • Inputting and scanning all daily paperwork into back-office system.
  • Assists store manager with shift coverage.

Job Duties:
  • Greets customers, answers questions and provides prompt, courteous service.
  • Responsible for all payment transactions with customers including cash payments, dispensing change, and running credit card payments for customers while maintaining accurate cash drawer.
  • Must record opening and closing coin, lottery tickets, and print all reports for shift for books.
  • Activates pumps outside with credit cards and fills customer fuel tank with correct grade and amount of fuel and providing receipts of sale.
  • Perform all closing duties including posting Veeder root, setting alarm and securing building (may not be applicable at all stations).
  • Prepare hot food while maintaining all food safety standards.
  • Dispensing lottery tickets.
  • Verifies age of customer when purchasing alcohol, cigarettes or lottery.
  • Maintains and restocks supplies and store inventory.
  • Completes assigned cleaning responsibilities.
  • Reports any suspicious activity to direct supervisor and authorities, if needed.
  • Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.
  • Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
  • Respectfully takes direction from supervisor / district coordinator.
  • Maintains Chevron Customer First Standards.
  • Closes store when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
