Job description

Director, Originations

RRA Capital Atlanta, Georgia, United States

About this position

RRA Capital | Phoenix, AZ & New York, NY

RRA Capital is a real estate credit platform focused on structured lending and opportunistic investments, powered by a lean, high-performing team with direct access to decision-makers. We value intellectual curiosity, ownership, and people who are genuinely enjoyable to work with.

We're expanding our originations team at RRA Capital and are looking for a proven CRE debt originator ready to own a market — building relationships, sourcing deals, and moving them through our pipeline with speed and discipline.

YOU WILL BE:
  • The relationship owner in the Central Region — the face of RRA Capital to brokers and borrowers across your markets
  • Originating senior bridge loans across the Central Region
  • A deal-driven self-starter who builds pipeline rather than waiting for it
  • Part of a lean, high-performing team where your production directly impacts the firm
WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY DO:
  • Source new loan opportunities through broker and direct sponsor relationships across your Central Region markets
  • Evaluate incoming deal submissions — quickly assessing fit based on established RRA lending criteria, including size, location, property type, and sponsorship
  • Structure, price, and present new loan opportunities to underwriting and credit committee
  • Lead the full loan cycle: originate, coordinate underwriting and due diligence, secure committee approval, manage legal and closing
  • Conduct regular in-person broker and borrower visits and attend relevant industry events in your territory
  • Build and maintain your pipeline with discipline — CRM hygiene, weekly activity tracking, and consistent follow-through
  • Distribute monthly market updates and recent transaction highlights to your network
  • Bring market intelligence back to the team — what's moving, what's repricing, where the opportunity is
WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:
  • Has 7–15 years of CRE debt origination experience — whole loans, bridge, mezzanine, or structured credit
  • Has a demonstrated production track record — you've sourced, structured, and closed deals on your own
  • Knows commercial real estate loans deeply across property types — you can read a deal quickly and price it confidently
  • Thinks like both a lender and an owner — downside protection matters as much as getting to yes
  • Is based in Phoenix, AZ — exceptional candidates in other markets are encouraged to apply and will be considered on a case-by-case basis
  • Holds a CFA, CAIA, or MBA — or is actively working toward one (meaningful plus, not a requirement)
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Base salary commensurate with experience, discretionary performance bonus tied to origination production, and participation in firm economics for the right candidate. Benefits include medical insurance, 401(k) with employer match, and unlimited PTO.

If you want a seat where your work shapes the portfolio and your upside is tied to what you help build — we'd love to connect.
