Summary: Responsible for supporting the School Cafeteria Manager and providing assistance in the operation and functions of the cafeteria in compliance with mandated USDA and health department requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Cafeteria Manager, as directed, to prepare and serve a daily menu.
  • Assists in preparation and serving of food in a quick and pleasant manner.
  • Assists in the daily set-up and breakdown of kitchen and service area.
  • Adheres to all sanitation and health codes governing personal appearance and food handling, including duties related to proper storage of food, and use of equipment and supplies
  • Assists in the receiving of food and supply deliveries.
  • Carries out cashiering and related duties.
  • Knowledge of and ability to order food items and supplies, etc.
