Function
Under the supervision of the Food Service Manager, performs assigned functions in food preparation, service and clean up.
Reports To:
Cafeteria Manager
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare food according to work schedules and standardized recipes Set up serving counter according to steamtable diagram
  • Serve food using effective time and motion techniques
  • Work in dish room scraping, rinsing, racking, and washing trays and silverware. Wash and sanitize pots and pans.
  • Perform assigned clean-up of kitchen, dish room, and dining room, including equipment: and floors.
  • May assist with record keeping, making bank deposits, or cashiering if assigned. Will be held responsible for all moneys when performing these duties.
  • Assist in cleaning equipment and preparing leftover food for return to the G.B.A. Food Service Facility or storage at secondary level.
  • Lift or carry 1 to 40 lbs. frequently, 41 to 60 lbs. occasionally, with assistance and proper lifting technique.
  • Bend, stoop and reach above shoulder level occasionally, work with machinery frequently.
  • Climb ladders, stairs, and ramps occasionally. Walk frequently and stand continuously.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
